Event Overview

The Deaf Ecosystem Summit is a two-day, in-person conference bringing together Deaf professionals, businesses, and community leaders to strengthen and grow our Deaf ecosystem. This is an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and create a future where Deaf-led initiatives thrive.

The Eat & Network Breakfast is a side event included as part of the Summit, and is available for all people who register for the Summit.  In addition, separate tickets can be purchased for the Eat & Network Breakfast side event for people who are not registered for the Deaf Ecosystem Summit but would like to attend the side event only.

References to “the event” in the following terms and conditions apply to the Deaf Ecosystem Summit and Eat & Network Breakfast event(s).

Accessibility

The event will be held in Auslan. If you have additional accessibility needs (e.g., tactile interpreting), please indicate them during registration. We will do our best to accommodate requests submitted at least four weeks prior to the event.

Eligibility

The event is open to participants aged 18 years and over. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or approved supervisor and must contact the organising team prior to registering.

Registration and Payment

  1. Registration and full payment are required to secure attendance.
  2. All registrations must be completed online through our official booking platform.
  3. We do not accept in-person or on-the-day payments.
  4. Concessions are available to full-time students attending the Eat & Network Breakfast event only.
  5. Please ensure your email address is correct during registration, as all event communication will be sent via email.
  6. If you do not receive confirmation one week prior to the event, please contact us.

Cancellations and Refunds

  1. Cancellations are eligible for a full refund if submitted in writing at least twelve (12) business days before the event.
  2. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after this deadline or for non-attendance.
  3. In the unlikely event the Summit is cancelled by the organisers, a full refund will be issued to all registered participants.

Transfers and Substitutions

  1. You may nominate a substitute attendee up to two (2) business days prior to the event.
  2. Transfers to a future event (if available) may be considered depending on availability and must be requested in writing.

Privacy and Media

  1. Personal information collected during registration is used solely for event administration and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  2. Photos and video footage may be taken during the event. If you do not wish to be included in event media, please notify us during the registration process or prior to the event.
  3. Respect other participants’ privacy—do not post photos or videos of attendees on social media without their consent.
